MHA Wordle takes the letter-by-letter word puzzle everyone knows and turns it into a My Hero Academia name game. Instead of a dictionary word, the hidden answer is the name of a character from the series, and you have six rows to spell it. It is one of the most played word games among the My Hero Academia games online here.

Because names vary, so does the grid: one board can be three letters wide and the next nine. Choose Easy to draw names from the best-known cast, such as Class 1-A and the top pros, or Hard to pull from minor heroes, villains, Class 1-B and the supporting characters. Each difficulty gives you one word a day, so a full day of MHA Wordle is two boards.

How to Play MHA Wordle

The banner above the grid tells you how many letters today's name has. Type a guess with your keyboard or the on-screen keys and press Enter. The answer is always the first word of the character's name as the roster lists it, so most students appear under their given name, like Ochaco or Tenya, while heroes known mainly by a hero name, such as Hawks or Endeavor, appear that way.

After each guess the tiles change colour. Green means the letter is in the right position, yellow means the letter is in the name but somewhere else, and grey means it is not in the name at all. Repeated letters are scored one at a time, so a double letter only lights up twice if the name really has it twice. The on-screen keyboard keeps the best colour each letter has earned.

If you are stuck, the hints panel opens up as you go: the character's rank after your third attempt, their faction after the fourth and one more clue after the fifth. Solving the board adds points to your score, with more points for fewer rows, and the character's portrait appears when the round ends either way.

MHA Wordle Tips and Strategy

Let the length do some work before you type anything. A three-letter board and a nine-letter board point at very different parts of the cast, and listing the names that fit, like Eri or Dabi against Shigaraki, is often faster than guessing letters blind.

The grid does not check guesses against a word list, so your first row can be a probe of the right length rather than a real name. A spread of common letters such as A, I, O, R, N, K and S tells you more about a Japanese given name than jumping straight to Izuku.

Treat the hints as part of the puzzle rather than a last resort. The rank clue alone separates students from pro heroes and villains, and the faction clue tells you whether you are looking at Class 1-A, Class 1-B, the League of Villains or somewhere else entirely. On Hard, those two hints are often worth more than another blind guess.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is MHA Wordle the same as the original Wordle?

The colour rules are the same, but the answer is always a My Hero Academia character name, the grid resizes to fit that name, and hints unlock as you play.

How many guesses do I get?

Six. Hints unlock after your third, fourth and fifth attempts.

Why is today's word not five letters long?

Because the answer is a character's name, the grid matches its length. The banner above the board shows the exact number of letters.

How many MHA Wordle games can I play per day?

One board per difficulty each day, so two in total: one on Easy and one on Hard.

Do I need an account to play?

No. You can play MHA Wordle and the rest of the MHAdle games without signing up. An account saves your progress across devices.
