Tap One is a fast drafting game built on My Hero Academia debates. Ten category cards spin at once, each landing on a random character, and you lock in exactly one of them. Everything you did not lock spins again and you choose again, until all ten categories hold a pick. The higher each pick ranks inside its category, the bigger your final score.
The categories are the arguments fans actually have: Raw Power, Pro Hero Skill, U.A. Students, Villain Threat, Battle IQ, Mobility, Rescue Value, Quirk Versatility, Endurance and Support Impact. Each has its own ranked list of nine characters, and the ranking stays hidden on the server, so the only way to score well is to know the series and to time your taps.
How to Play Tap One
Each spin lasts a couple of seconds. When the cards stop, every unlocked category shows one character. Tap the category whose character you want to keep; it locks with that pick and the rest spin again. You make one tap per spin, so after ten spins every category is locked.
You cannot skip a spin or undo a pick. That is the tension of the game: a strong card in one category may be worth taking now, even if something better could appear later, because the categories you leave until last have to accept whatever they land on.
When all ten are locked, your picks are scored. The top-ranked character in a category earns the most points and each place lower is worth less, for a maximum of 1,000. Your total earns a title, from Quirkless Start and Civvy through Provisional Hero, Big Three and Top Pro up to Symbol of Peace. You get five games a day, and your best rank is saved.
Tap One Strategy
Be picky early. On the first spins, ten categories are showing at once, so there is a good chance one of them has landed on a character you are sure sits at or near the top. Take the strongest card on the board, not the first decent one.
Read each category's definition rather than thinking about general strength. Battle IQ rewards planners and people who read opponents, Rescue Value favours characters who save and evacuate, and Support Impact is about making a whole team better. A character who dominates Raw Power may land in the middle of a list built around strategy or rescue.
Do not hold out too long for perfection. With nine characters per category only one can be the top pick, and a near-top card taken while you still have choices is usually worth more than gambling on the final spins. Five games a day is enough to get a feel for how each list behaves.
