Pixel is the image game for anyone who wants to guess the MHA character from a picture alone. Each day a character portrait is hidden under a heavy blur and you have six guesses to say who it is. Every wrong answer sharpens the image, so the earlier you recognise the silhouette and colours, the better your result.
It rewards a different kind of fandom from the text-based games. There is no name, faction or quirk to read, only shapes and colour: Deku's green, Bakugo's spiky blond hair, Hawks' red wings. Easy uses the best-known characters and Hard the wider cast, and each has its own daily picture, streak and leaderboard.
How to Play Pixel
The portrait starts heavily blurred and zoomed in, so you mainly see the middle of the image. Type at least two letters of a name and pick a character from the suggestions to make a guess.
Each wrong guess reduces the blur, from a smear of colour on your first try to a sharp picture by your sixth, and the image zooms back out once the blur is gone. Get it right and the full portrait appears; use all six guesses and the answer is revealed.
Easy and Hard are separate dailies and you can play both. The difficulty toggle locks while a picture is in progress, and signed-in players are ranked on each difficulty's daily leaderboard.
Tips for Recognising Blurred MHA Characters
Read the colour blocks before the shapes. Under the heaviest blur, hair, skin and costume colours are the only reliable signal: a mass of green, hair split between white and red, pink skin, a dark bird-like head. Note the two dominant colours and run through the characters who match.
Use the zoom to your advantage. Because early images are cropped towards the centre, you are usually looking at a face and hair rather than a full costume. Head shapes and hairstyles are some of the most distinctive designs in the series, from Kirishima's spikes to Mineta's purple spheres, so think in those terms.
Treat early guesses as information. A wrong answer is not wasted, because it removes a layer of blur for the next one. On Hard, where the answer might be a Class 1-B student, a one-arc pro or a family member, spending your first guesses on the closest colour matches is usually the fastest route.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the image actually pixelated?
It is blurred rather than broken into blocks, and it gets clearer after each wrong guess.
How many guesses do I get?
Six. By the sixth guess the blur is gone.
When does the picture change?
Once a day. Easy and Hard each have their own character.
Can I play both difficulties?
Yes. Each is its own daily, and you can switch whenever a picture is not in progress.
Does the suggestion list give away the answer?
No. It includes every character in the roster, regardless of difficulty.
