Higher or Lower is the fastest game on MHAdle: two My Hero Academia characters side by side, one power level on show and one question. Is the next hero, student or villain stronger or weaker? Every correct call moves the chain along, so a good run can take you from a first-year at U.A. to the Symbol of Peace in a couple of minutes.

The roster covers about 155 characters, from Class 1-A and Class 1-B through the pro hero rankings to the League of Villains, the Shie Hassaikai and the vestiges of One For All. Each character has a fixed power value, so the only thing being tested is your own sense of who outclasses whom.

How to Play Higher or Lower

The left card shows a character's name, faction and power level. The right card shows the next character with the power hidden. Press Higher if you think the second character is stronger, or Lower if you think they are weaker. When both have exactly the same power, either answer counts. After a correct call, the second character becomes the new reference and a fresh challenger appears.

The daily run lasts two minutes and you get one a day, plus a spare life. The first time you miss, the clock pauses and the life keeps the run going with a new pair; if you finish a run without needing it, the life buys a second daily run instead. As your score climbs you earn titles, from U.A. Rookie and Sidekick through Pro Hero, Top Pro and Symbol Tier up to Plus Ultra at 47 correct calls.

Once the daily is done, Classic mode offers two more runs with no clock and their own spare life. Classic runs count toward your stats and XP but not toward the daily leaderboard, which ranks signed-in players by the number of correct calls in their timed run.

Higher or Lower Strategy: Reading MHA Power Levels

Anchor your calls on the extremes. When All Might, All For One or Shigaraki is the reference card, the next character is almost certainly lower. When the reference is a civilian such as Inko Midoriya or one of the Todoroki siblings who never became heroes, expect higher. The hard decisions live in the crowded middle, where Class 1-A students, working pros and mid-ranking villains overlap.

Rank is a better guide than popularity. Top pros like Endeavor, Hawks and Mirko outrank nearly every student, but the Big Three and the strongest first-years, such as Bakugo and Todoroki, reach well into pro territory. Villains vary hugely: the League's inner circle and Overhaul sit high, while street-level criminals like Gentle Criminal are far lower than their screen time suggests.

Keep a steady pace instead of racing the clock. Two minutes is plenty for a long streak, and a single miss without a life ends the run. When a pair feels like a coin flip, go with rank and feats rather than how cool the character is, and save the spare life for the calls you genuinely cannot read.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if both characters have the same power?

A tie counts as correct, whichever button you press.

How long is a Higher or Lower run?

The daily run has a two-minute timer. Classic runs, available after the daily, have no timer.

How many times can I play per day?

One timed daily run, a second one if you did not use your spare life, and two untimed Classic runs.

Where do the power levels come from?

Each character has a fixed rating based on their feats in the manga and anime. The numbers are MHAdle's own scale, not official figures from the series.

What is the highest title you can earn?

Plus Ultra, reached at 47 correct calls in one run. On the way you pass titles such as Provisional Hero, Top Pro, Symbol Tier and Number One.
