Emoji Riddle hides a My Hero Academia character behind a row of five emojis. At the start you see only the first one. Every wrong guess reveals another, so the puzzle gets easier the longer it takes, and the challenge is to name the character with as few clues as possible.

The emojis lean on what fans remember: a quirk drawn as an object, a costume colour, a personality trait, a family tie or a role in the story. Easy and Hard each have their own daily riddle, drawn from the famous cast and from the wider roster respectively, so there are two riddles to solve every day.

How to Play Emoji Riddle

Read the first emoji, type at least two letters of the character you think it describes, then choose them from the suggestions. The suggestion list covers the whole roster whatever difficulty you are on, so it gives nothing away.

If you are wrong, the next emoji appears. You have five guesses and there are five emojis, so your final guess is made with the full set on screen. Guess correctly and the character's portrait is shown; run out of guesses and the answer is revealed.

Each difficulty is one riddle per day with its own streak and its own daily leaderboard for signed-in players. The daily answer works through the whole pool before any character comes back, and some characters have more than one emoji set, so a returning face may bring a different riddle.

Emoji Riddle Tips

Read emojis as quirks first. My Hero Academia characters are defined by what their quirk does, so an emoji that looks like an object is usually describing a power: something explosive, frozen, stretchy, copied or erased. Once a quirk is in mind, the list of candidates is short.

Read the rest as context. Colours often point at hair, costumes or flames, faces point at personality, and symbols like a school, a crown, a skull or a ghost tend to mark a role, such as a U.A. teacher, a villain leader or a vestige living inside One For All.

Use early guesses to test ideas. Because every miss reveals another emoji, a sensible guess that turns out wrong is never wasted. Pick the character who fits the clues best and let the next emoji correct you. On Hard, remember that the answer may be a Class 1-B student, a minor pro or a villain from a single arc.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many guesses do I get?

Five, one for each emoji. A new emoji is revealed after every wrong guess.

Is there a new riddle every day?

Yes. Easy and Hard each get a new character every day, and each keeps its own streak.

Can I play Easy and Hard on the same day?

Yes, they are separate puzzles. You just cannot switch difficulty in the middle of a riddle once you have guessed.

Who can be the answer?

On Easy, characters most fans know on sight, such as Class 1-A, the Big Three, top pros and the League of Villains. On Hard, the rest of the roster.

Do riddles repeat?

Every character in the pool appears before any repeats, and some characters have more than one emoji set.
